USA takes down Panama; Wins Goup D of Gold Cup

Kansas City: As Group play in the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup comes to an end, we had a good battle to see who would win Group D as the US Men’s National Team took on Panama from Children’s Marcy Park in Kansas City. The USMNT got to this game off a dominating win over Trinidad & Tobago on June 22 while Panama made it to the game off a win over Guyana.

Both USA and Panama would have some good chances to score but they could not capitalize on them and this game would be scoreless at halftime.

In the second half with the game still scoreless, the USA would break through and get the games first goal on a bicycle kick from Jozy Altidore.

The US would Hold on for the 1-0 win and in the process win Group D and Panama would finish second. Both USA and Panama will make the trip to Philadelphia for the Quarterfinals of the Gold Cup on Sunday, June 30.
