Ticket Information for Bellator 225: Mitrione vs. Kharitonov II In CT
One of the most highly-anticipated heavyweight bouts in Bellator history ended on a sour note at Bellator 215 when Matt Mitrione kicked Sergei Kharitonov in his manhood. A fifteen-second fight, it was ruled a no-contest, upsetting the Connecticut crowd. Both fighters were very upset, especially Kharitonov.
Mitrione (13-6, 1 NC) was very sincere in his post-fight speech. He apologized to Sergei (28-6, 2 NC) and the fans, hoping to get a rematch going ASAP.
“If Sergei is down to go, if he can do it, if his body is good, hopefully, he didn’t rupture a testicle,” Mitrione stated. “If he can do it again, then obviously I’m 100% down. He’s the only person I really want to fight in this situation because everybody, I think, deserves that. It would’ve been a great fight and a lot of fun.”
Both will get a chance to redo the fight that never was when they return to Connecticut for Bellator 225. Taking place inside the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut, tickets for Bellator 225 go on sale to the general public Friday, June 21 at 10 a.m. ET.
