New York-based Private Party ready to impress in AEW
With tag team wrestling being highlighted in AEW, Private Party can really stand out on a talented roster.
From the start of All Elite Wrestling’s inception, one of the key goals was to put an emphasis on tag team wrestling. With The Young Bucks as Executive Vice President’s, it was expected that it would be a priority. That is why they signed guys like the Lucha Brothers, Best Friends and SoCal Uncensored. While there are established team out there, relatively new teams are looking to make an impact.
Enter Private Party.
The team of Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy may not be known to a mass audience, but their charisma and overall skills have made them fan favorites on the independent scene. Graduates of House of Glory wrestling under the tutelage of Amazing Red, Private Party formed in 2005 after Marq saw Isiah wore a Hardy Boyz t-shirt. Two New Yorkers, the two immediately bonded thanks to the stories that they shared and their love for pro wrestling. In the attached video above you can see how passionate they are for the business.
While fighting under the for HOG banner, Private Party have fought in places like CZW, Warriors of Wrestling, Game Changer Wrestling and Fight the World Wrestling. Their use of high-profile moves has propelled them to be compared to The Young Bucks. Just imagine a battle between those two on an AEW stage and the possibilities are endless.
The duo did not have had a chance to show who they are at Double or Nothing. They will, however at Fyter Fest. A premier match on the pre-show to determine contenders for the new AEW World Tag Team Titles is a dream come true for these gentlemen, something many fans would have never thought of happening two years ago.
There are going to be comparisons to NXT’s Street Profits, a normal result of being involved in pro wrestling. The teams couldn’t be any more different. While hard to explain, Private Party has a way to grab your attention from the moment the bell rings. Catching AEW’s eyes, we could see big things from the team of Quen and Kassidy.
The pro wrestling industry is on fire right now. Private Party is part of the reason why. Within the next few months, the duo may very well rise in popularity. That is what AEW envisioned. An opportunity for the ages has been presented, will Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy rise to the occasion?
