Jeff Auger Named Director of Social Media at Double G Media
DoubleGSports.com and it’s parent company, Double G Media, LLC, has named Jeff Auger to it’s position of Director of Social Media.
Auger will control of all aspects of social media, including planning and interaction. He will work closely with all departments, including marketing, editorial, creative content and radio.
With the addition of this new role, Auger will handle dual duties as he will continue to work as a Staff Photographer for the website. He is excited about the new opportunity.
“Having been a photographer for Double G Sports over the past year, I know what tremendous opportunities we have to connect with the sports community in the tri-state area and beyond,” said Auger. “It is an exciting time at Double G Sports as our team continues to build, develop and grow within our communities.”
In addition to his duties at Double G Media, Auger is on the Event Committee of Craig Carton’s Tic Toc Stop Foundation.
“Jeff’s enthusiasm for working with us and taking on added responsibility was a major factor in handing him this position,” said Double G Media CEO Gregg Snyder. “Jeff will bring a unique perspective to our social media visibility and his background in marketing can only enhance his ability to grow our reach.”
The entire staff knows how important social media is to it’s continued growth. Keeping readers and followers engaged is an area the team, led by Jeff, plans to improve on.
“I would like to engage our audience more and encourage readers to interact with our team,” said Auger. “Rather than just a place for sports news and facts, we can use this platform to help start a community dialog. Our team will reach out and engage directly to teams/players with the hopes of making Double G Sports a more recognizable brand.”
