Everson Pereira Playing Hard for the Staten Island Yankees

Everson Pereira was named the Defensive Player of the Month due to his impeccable way of playing during the month. He didn’t commit any errors and had 15 putouts and an assist during the month of June.

The Venezuela native was has been dazzling and making his name known among the Yankees organization, he was the No. 7 prospect for the organization according to MLB Pipeline.

The outfielder takes a lot of pride in the way he plays and he is always playing hard, which was one of the take outs of Monday night’s game as Pereira crashed on the video board at Richmond County Bank Ballpark.

Pereira went back to field a ball and collided with the screen in the first inning. He then had to be helped off the field.

The Staten Island Yankees went on to win the game vs the Connecticut Tigers to tie the series.
