The moment you have been waiting for, the 2016-2017 Basketball season is upon us. The Philadelphia 76ers definitely didn’t go unrecognized.  There was plenty of excitement from the the controversy over the singing of the National Anthem, to Joel Embiid scoring 20 points  in the first 20 minutes of his debut.

After having two surgeries in the past two years, it was finally premier night for Embiid. With a sellout Philadelphia crowd, the fans certainly gave me him the cheers of their life. The fans certainly didn’t care if he missed some shots here and there; the crowd was electric to finally see Embiid play.

The 7 foot, third overall pick in the draft from Kansas had a hard spill in the second half. Definitely need not to worry as a foul was called.

With finishing the game healthy and completely overjoyed, the stats certainly made Embiid smile even more. Embiid finished with 20 points, seven rebounds and two blocks. Even though the Sixers loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, it was definitely a good start to a great year to come.

I personally can’t wait until Ben Simmons gets better and makes his first appearance as a 76er. There will definitely be a fire storm on the court.

Trust in the process ~ said Joel Embiid
