Dellin Betances partially tears Achilles Tendon

In a SHOCKING announcement, it was determined that after Dellin Betances’ outing in Toronto that he partially tore his Achilles Tendon jumping off the mound. The injury will obviously end his season and it is a huge blow to the Yankees’ bullpen come October.

Betances has been snakebitten all season. First he was on the I.L. for most of the season with a shoulder injury. He was rehabbing all season, with a few setbacks, and finally came back in the Yankees’ past series against Toronto.

Betances looked excellent and was ready to become an integral part of the Yanks’ bullpen again. Unfortunately for Dellin, the Achilles injury is just another hill to climb in what has been a horrific season of injuries.

You have to feel for Betances because after all that rehab it means absolutely nothing. What is good is that the Yankees have won without him essentially the entire year, and he will still be in their corner come October for moral support.
