Brooklyn Cyclones Sweep Connecticut Tigers

The Brooklyn Cyclones completed a sweep of the Connecticut Tigers Friday night. 

Chandler Avant commenced the momentum for the Cyclones with a two-run home run in the bottom of the second caping an explosive start to the game. This was Chandler Avant’s first professional homer.

Soon after this the Cyclones were on a roll as Carlos Cortes doubled on a line drive to right fielder Dayton Dugas. Nick Meyer, Manny Rodriguez, and Ross Adolph scored. 

By the top of the third inning, the Cyclones were well ahead of the Connecticut Tigers, 5-0.

In the bottom of the fourth, the Cyclones continued and Rodriguez singled on a ground ball to center field.

Adolph later singled on a line drive to right, scoring Rodriguez scored and Adolph advanced to second. Cortes followed with a single, scoring Adolph.

Jose Miguel Medina delivered his fourth home run of the season. Walter Rasquin scored to conclude the last run of the game for the Cyclones.

The Cyclones finished this three-game sweep against the Tigers after getting swept by the Hudson Valley Renagades and will now travel to Lowell to face the Spinners.
