The Lady Pirates of SHU lost their second straight soccer match with a final score of 1-0.  This time, it was the Lady Scarlet Knights of Rutgers who shut out Seton Hall.

Jessica Puchalski of Rutgers was able to run in freely and touch the ball past SHU goalie Gina Maiorana.

It was only the second goal given up by Maiorana this season, but the Lady Pirates were held scoreless for the second consecutive match.

The 1-2 Lady Pirates will host Monmouth, the MAAC favorite, at Owen T. Carroll Field on Monday, September 1st. Kick-off is set for 7:00 pm.

The Lady Pirates need to begin putting the ball into the net, as they have only scored two goals this season and that was in the season opener at Marist.
