A Quick Look at Knicks 2014-15 Schedule
On Wednesday, the NBA released the schedule for the upcoming season. The New York Knicks will be opening up the season at Madison Square Garden on October 29 against Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls. The next night, the Knicks travel to Cleveland to face Lebron James and the Cavaliers. This will be their home opener and Lebron’s first since leaving the team four years ago for the Miami Heat.
The Knicks also have some nationally televised games as they will be playing the Washington Wizards at noon on Christmas Day and the Pelicans at 5:30 on Martin Luther King Day. The Knicks are also leaving the country to face the Milwaukee Bucks in London.
The Knicks will be on national TV a total of sixteen times, nine times of ESPN, once on ABC, and six on TNT.
Throughout the season, New York will have 20 back to back games and seven afternoon games.
The defending champion San Antonio Spurs make a visit to the garden March 17. As the defending Eastern Conference champions, the Miami Heat will face off against the Knicks on November 30 and February 20.
The toughest portion of the schedule for the Knicks may be towards the end of the season when they are battling for playoff positioning. They will be playing seven games in ten nights from March 19 to March 28. This can be a very important and tough stretch when bodies can be getting tired from the whole season. Every one of these games might be must win and can really determine where the Knicks will fall in the standings.
Let’s get this season started!!
