Penn will hire Steve Donahue as the next head coach. Donahue was an assistant coach for Penn in 90s when the Quakers made five NCAA tournament appearances over the course of eight seasons. He went on to coach at Cornell and finished his final three seasons 72-21 at Cornell and won three Ivy League titles. He also coached Cornell to an NCAA tournament run to reach the Sweet 16 in 2010 before falling to Kentucky, who was also #1 seed that year.  Following Cornell, he went on to coach at Boston College until his final 2013-2014 season

Steve Donahue, a Delaware County native and Ursinus graduate, now returns to Penn to lead the Quakers as head coach. According to the Daily News, Donahue will be officially announced as head coach on Tuesday. He is no stranger to the Ivy League, Penn, the Big 5, or Philly basketball.
