Peahens’ Georgie Nicholes Named MAAC Female Student-Athlete of the Week
St. Peter’s senior Georgie Nicholes was named as the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Female Student-Athlete of the Week on Monday, Oct. 30, from the league office.
Nicholes is currently a four-year letter winner in both track and cross country. She also claims the spot as a first team all-leader and holds the school record in steeplechase, DMR, 4X800 and 4×15000.
This past weekend she led the Peacocks in the 6K run finishing with a time of 26:00.40. She also ended up with the team-best time at the championships.
Last season, the New York native finished the championships with a running time of 24:56.61, lead the Peahens in the 6K run. The women finished with 2:19:29.12 along with an average time of 27:53.83.
Nicholes, a criminal justice major, was also named to the MAAC All-Academic team with seniors Ashe David and Monica Rosales.
