A Look At Some Ranger Prospects
NHL.com always posts articles concerning the Top Ten Prospects of each of the 30 teams in the League. I check to see who they think are the top Ranger prospects. I also check out the Ranger’s website and the “In the System” page. I like to keep myself up to date on who the young talent is, and if the Rangers will be able to promote from within. Sometimes they look to Free Agency or trades to keep the team in contender mode year in and year out.
I have my own take on who are the next wave of NY Ranger players that will grace the ice of Madison Square Garden and play for the beloved Broadway Blueshirts.
In no particular order, I will list 13 players who are either new to the Rangers without any NHL experience, or have not gained a berth on the team yet.
Brady Skjei D
Anthony Duclair LW
Jesper Fast RW
Dylan Mcllrath D
Danny Kristo RW
Pavel Buchnevich LW
Oscar Linberg C
Connor Allen D
Ryan Graves D
Brandon Halverson G
Kevin Hayes RW
Ryan Haggerty Forward
Adam Tambellini C
Now, add the players that GM Glen Sather acquired this season: Tanner Glass, Lee Stempniak, Chris and Ryan Bourque, Matthew Lombardi, Keegan Iverson, Nick Tarnasky, Josh Nicholls, Chris Mueller, Mike Kostka, Matt Hunwick and Cedrick Deslardins and it is a very crowded roster.
This was a very busy off-season for the Rangers, and I do not know if GM Glen “Slats” Sather is finished yet. He may still be working on a deal before training camp or the regular season opens. With Slats, you never know.
I will be bringing you features on all of these players, along with a little background on all of the Rangers, in the weeks leading up to the start of the season.
Also, look forward to updates on the Traverse City Project Tournament, and anything else I can think of pertaining to the NY Rangers.
