Newly acquired Forward Kevin Hayes has been given his first assignment as a New York Ranger, joining up with the Traverse City prospect team and trying to bring home a championship.

Hayes will join such prospects as Anthony Duclair, Adam Tambellini and Ryan Haggerty. This should show the Rangers coaching staff just how ready Hayes is to make the team by opening night.

I, for one, do not believe some of the stories out there saying that Hayes needs AHL seasoning. I believe he is good enough to make the team this season, providing he has a good training camp and avoids any injuries.

This addition will help the prospect team greatly in their quest to win this tournament.
