High Point Solutions Football Stadium Has Spring Team Sublets

High Point Solutions Stadium will soon be sublet by other Scarlet Knights for the spring season.  The Rutgers Scarlet Knights football stadium has recently been cleared of snow and lined for a few new residents, men’s and women’s lacrosse.

The 52,454 seat stadium will be the new venue for the lacrosse teams who previously have play on Yurcak Stadium, located right across the road on Busch Campus.

Both the men’s and women’s teams will play at the new stadium location for the first time on Saturday, March 8 in a double-header.  The women’s game against Stony Brook will begin at 3 p.m. and the men come on after hosting Monmouth University at 6 p.m.

Both teams are excited for this amazing opportunity and to be a part of the inaugural season in the iconic stadium “On the Banks.”

The female lacrosse team will be defending their 3-0 perfect record at home; they have played all of their previous home games on the RU Turf Field, and are thrilled to be the first female team to be playing at High Point Solutions Stadium

“It is an honor to be the first women’s athletic team to be playing in the stadium.  I am so excited just to be walking on the same field that some of the greatest Rutgers football players have walked on,” said freshman, Nicole Kopyta (Oakland, NJ).  “I can’t wait to come out of that tunnel with my teammates on Saturday.”

The men are equally excited coming off a big win after their 9-8 upset in OT against No. 20 Army.

The men have proven that they can compete against the best when they defeated the Black Knights No. 1 ranked defense earlier in the week, and are looking to advance their current 3-2 record in their final game before Big East competition which beings March 15.

The women are on a mission to maintain their flawless record at home and improve their 3-2 overall record.
