NWHL and Dunkin Donuts
The National Women’s Hockey League announced that their first corporate sponsorship is with Canton, Mass. based Dunkin’ Brands. Making Dunkin’Donuts the official iced, hot, and frozen coffee of the NWHL.
TD Garden in Boston hosted a press conference on Tuesday, December 8, Commissioner Dani Rylan and Dunkin’ Brands Vice President of Field Marketing Tom Manchester announced the sponsorship and unveiled the new NWHL jerseys with Dunkin’ patches. As well as signage on league goal posts and behind each bench, Dunkin will have advertisements on the NWHL website and team sites.
“Throughout the Northeast and across the country, Dunkin’ Donuts is recognized as the brand that keeps people running any time of day,” Rylan said. “We are thrilled such a leading national brand is not only our first corporate sponsor, but will play an important part in helping to promote our league, teams and players.”
Dunkin did not stop there, Meghan Duggan, assistant captain of the Buffalo Beauts and two-time Olympic silver medalist, signed a personal services contract with Dunkin’ Donuts as well.
Through the Dunkin’ Donuts’ partnership, Dunkin will coordinate youth hockey clinics with team representatives in each market throughout the league’s inaugural season, this being Connecticut, New York, Boston, and Buffalo.
