AFC Wild Card Preview: Jacksonville Jaguars vs Buffalo Bills

On Sunday, the Jacksonville Jaguars and Buffalo Bills will face off in the second AFC Wild Card game. The game will be played at EverBank Field in Jacksonville, FL Sunday afternoon.

AFC Wild Card Preview: Jacksonville Jaguars vs Buffalo Bills

Neither team has played in a postseason game this decade. Jacksonville is back in the playoffs for the first time since 2007. They are hosting a playoff game for the first time since Buffalo was last in the playoffs, in 1999.

This game, like the first AFC wild card game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Tennessee Titans, has the makings of a blowout. Buffalo, like Tennessee, made it into the playoffs on the last day of the regular season. They will now face off against a Jacksonville team that has been hot all season long.

The Jaguars’ defense has been the key to their success all season long. They lead the league in sacks and have been trouble for every offensive line they’ve faced. Tyrod Taylor may be a running quarterback, but he will not be able to get away from this pass rush the Jaguars will bring.

As for the offense, Blake Bortles will simply have to outplay Taylor. He hasn’t done well the last few games – or over his career, at that – but the edge goes to Jacksonville in this game due their defense. It will more likely than not carry them to a victory in the Wild Card round.
