Wow, so it’s been a while since I’ve been here. Within the past months I’ve torn my acl, wrapped up an album, and performed at my listening session. So much for sitting back and watching things happen. Well, here we go…
I often hear, “wow, you’re so upbeat for someone that had torn their acl.” In my eyes I have nothing to frown upon. Yes, my season was cut short, but I believe everything happens for a reason. My injury put my team in a terrible position, but there is a lesson to be learned from it all. It only reiterated what I already knew- never take a play off because you never know if that’ll be your last. It also stressed the importance of everyone bringing something to the table. It stressed the importance of improving your game day in and day out. It stressed the importance of having a never said die attitude collectively. ACL- A Crucial Lesson.
Fortunately, rehab has been great. I’m making great strides in this comeback process. For most it may seem impossible to return to previous form, but my eyes are set on the prize and my hunger is in place. Just having the chance to touch a basketball and shoot, even without jumping, means everything to me right now. I get the chance to maintain my touch and form during this long period of rehab. More importantly I get to have a dose of the game I love.
Ah, so there’s the music side. My album, Broken Diary, will be available November 12, 2013 via iTunes. A collection of my life’s experiences presented in hip-hop audio form for everyone. I actually had a listening session spun by DJ Osh Kosh and presented by 4Season Style Management and Remy V at the beautiful, plush Toshi’s Living Room in Manhattan. We had a great turnout with record labels in attendance and even better reviews. To top off the night, I gave the crowd a little gift by way of my performance set. Of course, I performed two of my singles, but I also threw in a track from my next project just for appreciation. The adrenaline rush I got from rocking the crowd was unbelievable! Make sure you go get Broken Diary by Pr3pe November 12th!!!!!!
Well, that wraps it up for what I’ve been up to for the past few months. Nothing but good things in the works. Major love for Double G Sports, 4Season Style Management, and the NY Liberty for all their support.
