Two of Siena’s competitions ended in a tie this Wednesday.
Men’s soccer tied the Stags at Fairfield, ending the game in a 1-1 draw, with sophomore Nils Weddig scoring the Saints lone goal in the 63rd minute. Goalie Adam Myers made five saves for Siena, though Fairfield’s Joan Brachmann was able to score one for the Stags.
Siena swimming and diving traveled to Worcester, MA to tie Holy Cross 147-147. Despite some impressive stroke performances from sophomores Dory Miller and Emily Carideo, and juniors Kat Canavan and Amanda York, the Saint couldn’t pull away with a W.
“There were many exciting races throughout the meet and the team was very supportive of one another,” said head coach Paul Kueterman. “We still have some work to do but the team is headed in the right direction.”
Both Siena teams are looking forward to their next competitions in hopes to bounce back with a set of wins. Men’s soccer’s will host Manhattan College for their next match, this Saturday at 1:00pm on Siena’s turf field. Swimming and Diving will head to Burlington, VT on November 2nd for their next meet versus powerhouse UVM.
