Athlete’s Voices: Plenette Pierson, Episode 2. Relaxing and Having Fun Before Heading Overseas
Added by Guest on October 11, 2013.
This is the DoubleGSports.com Athlete’s Voices column in which local star athletes provide guest posts updating their fans on what they have been up to. Today’s post is from the New York Liberty of the WNBA, Plenette Pierson.
Fall is here…October brings a close to a trying summer of basketball but begins FOOTBALL season. Not making the playoffs this season was difficult to deal with but in true fashion I found the positive in a negative situation.
This season I was able to get some much-needed time off between the WNBA season and heading overseas. During this time I have enjoyed spending an extended period of time in my home and enjoying the perks that come with being in the USA. I have attended a Monday Night Football game, the State Fair, Six Flags Fright Night, a trip to the Haunted House, and a visit from my brother.
With all of the fun and rest I’ve been getting, I have also been studying hard to finish my degree. I’m currently four classes away from graduation.
Next up on my agenda, is heading to Kosice, Slovakia to help lead the Good Angels to another great Euro league season. I’m looking forward to teaming up with some new and old faces to have another “Cinderella” run thru this season.
Until the next time, follow my season in future blogs and catch all of my updates on:
