Siena’s men’s lacrosse team has partnered with the Wounded Warrior Project to host a giant charity tournament and free youth clinic next month, and the event’s itinerary looks like it will be pretty impressive.
The event, which is technically a 4-team scrimmage with lacrosse teams from Colgate University, Skidmore College, and Western New England University, will take place on Sunday October 13, at 10:00am following a free youth clinic sponsored by Under Armor on Siena’s turf field.
The team’s head coach John Svec spoke fondly of the Wounded Warrior Project’s mission, and is excited to contribute to the Project’s cause
“We are honored to be aligning our program and Siena College with Wounded Warrior Project and these other great institutions,” said Svec, “The men and women who serve and protect our freedoms have our utmost respect and gratitude. This is our way of contributing to the efforts of Wounded Warrior Project in aiding our injured servicemen and women.”
Tickets to the event are $5 a head for adults, and children under twelve are free. All proceeds and donations will of course, go to the Wounded Warrior Project, which is a fabulous organization to be read about here: http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/mission.aspx
