NFL Apparel Featured in Ads in Vogue’s Sept Issue

A few days ago, I finally got a chance to relax and read through the September 2013 issue of Vogue, the largest issue yet since the recession, with 902 pages of ads and weighing in at 4lbs, 6.3 ounces, with a cost of $5.99.
I was pleasantly surprised at the ads for NFL apparels being sold at Targets. The looks were chic, stylish and fashion forward, the perfect outfits to wear to the annual kickoff game that marks the beginning of the National Football League season. The game which is preceded by a concert and other ceremonies is set to begin Thursday, September 5, 2013, with the defending Super Bowl XLVII champions Baltimore Ravens playing the annual kickoff game against the Denver Broncos.
The September issue of all fashion magazines is like the Super Bowl of the NFL. Packed with fall fashions, advertisers can pay upwards of $165,000.00 for a full-page ad. September issues can take upwards of a year to plan and major celebrities are usually booked a year in advance.
So, what to wear to the kickoff game? Any of the stylish looks featured in the NFL ads; as worn by super models Karolina Kurkova, Hilary Rhoda and Cameron Russell could easily go from the fashion pages straight to the kick off game.
Target carries official NFL, NCAA and MLB apparel. A visit to Target’s website is a bit of a downer, since the website doesn’t “style” the apparels shown; however with a little bit of creativity, ingenuity and a few accessories, you can create your own fashion forward sporty look as shown in the ads for any occasion.
