K Josh Brown signs: The days of Tom Coughlin’s frustrated face when Lawrence Tynes misses a kick are over. No details yet, but Brown signed a contract with the Giants yesterday. Tynes will always be remembered for the kicks he made in the 2007 and ’11 Championship Games in overtime, but the die hard fans won’t forget the bad misses. The majority of his kicks last season that were good were from 35 yards or less. Brown says he’s comfortable kicking from 50 yards or more, something Tynes didn’t seem confortable doing last year. This is my favorite signing thus far.
LB Jasper Brinkley visits: Vikings free agent linebacker Jasper Brinkley visited yesterday but left without a contract. He’s visting the Cardinals today. Brinkley started 15 games for the Vikes last year and had 62 tackles. He’s 27-years old.
S Ryan Mundy visits: The free agent from the Steelers is visiting the Giants today. In four seasons he’s started five games for Pittsburgh. He would add more depth to an aging secondary.
