With the fantasy baseball season just around the corner, many fantasy owners are looking for an edge in their fantasy pools this summer. Sites like wageronsports.com offers many outlets for users to place bets on fantasy leagues. There are many different baseball betting strategies that one can employ, but they all have one thing in common: all strategies start with doing the proper research and homework. This article discusses some of the best first baseman prospects for you to watch out for in your fantasy drafts this season. We will ignore the big name veterans who have been in the league for a while and focus on the new names this year.

1. Aderlin Rodriguez
Aderlin Rodriguez of the New York Mets may have not played a lot of games at first base but all signs point to his potential in being successul in this position. He may undoubtedly be considered as one of the best power hitters in the Mets’ minor league system, with 24 home runs in last season’s Single-A.

2. Paul Goldschmidt
The big first baseman for the Arizona Diamondbacks launched 20 dingers with 18 stolen bases last season and should build on those numbers this year. He’s going in the same range as Mark Teixeira and Adrián González, and should be able to outproduce both. Look for him around the early 4th round of your draft.

3. Freddie Freeman
The power-hitting first bagger for the Atlanta Braves hit 23 homeruns in a packed Atlanta lineup last year, managing 91 runs and 94 RBIs. With Justin Upton joining the team (along with brother B.J. as well as Jason Heyward), he should be able to push 25/100/100 this season. He’ll be off the board in the 6th round in standard sized leagues.
