Greetings from Istanbul!
It’s been a while since I’ve gotten a chance to talk to you all. Firstly, I’d like to say that today’s weather was beautiful. I didn’t get a chance to enjoy it much due to my hard work in the gym, but the short amount of time I had was definitely enjoyed. It’s now January 15th and the Christmas season is yesteryear. Although I didn’t have the chance to return to the United States to spend the holidays with my family, I was able to share it with Cappie – who’s a big sister to me, her family, and mutual friends that flew in. We made Christmas stockings, had a grab bag, and exchanged individual gifts to make the day even better. No, I didn’t have Christmas in New Jersey or New York, but we brought Christmas to Istanbul.
New Years in Istanbul is largely celebrated. Many usually have dinner with their families and top the night off with a night club. I didn’t get a chance to do the latter, but I did enjoy dinner with a few teammates as we watched television. This holiday season was a change for me, but I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it.
On the court, we’re still facing some adversity with a few recent losses; however, we all know that adversity and turmoil builds character. I honestly believe our team will push through and reach each goal that we’ve made for ourselves. We control our destiny and nothing can/will get in the way of that. So, each and every day in practice we’re working diligently to overcome our current obstacles and use them as stepping stones towards our own greatness. Aspiring athletes should always remember that turmoil isn’t the end of the road, but it is the beginning of a journey towards becoming great.
Lastly, I’m currently streaming my next single, “Bye”, for free on soundcloud.com. The single is a party track with a Bay feel to it. With my first three singles, you’ve gotten a chance to hear a variety of tracks with my own Pr3pe signature style to it. To stream “Bye”, both clean and explicit versions, check it out here https://soundcloud.com/pr3pe/sets/bye . Hope you guys enjoy!!!
