WWE Hall of Famer Heads To Rehab After Five Arrests In One Month

It appears as if a very dark cloud has overcast a career that was once “Sunny”.

WWE’s “original diva” and Hall of Famer, Tamara Sytch, famously known to the WWE Universe as Sunny, has been granted her request by New Haven Superior Court in Connecticut, that she be admitted to a treatment center in Pennsylvania, which will be paid in full by World Wrestling Entertainment as part of their ongoing alumni wellness policy. WWE, which offers rehabilitation assistance to all former contracted talent, will provide transportation from court to the treatment center and cover all associated expenses.

On Oct. 9, Sytch was arrested for the fifth time in one month and her second time in less than 24-hours, for allegedly violating a protective order stemming from an original September arrest. She addressed the situation to her fans in a message via her Facebook account in which she said: “I am determined to overcome these past difficulties and put this situation behind me. I am a strong person and I am determined to overcome any obstacles that may stand in my way and I am only thinking about moving forward and achieving success.”

The victim, Damien Selvaggio, known on the independent wrestling circuit as Damien Darling, told media outlets that the only person who can help Sytch is herself. “When Tamara is sober she is an amazing person, but when she drinks, she is an uncontrollable, violent demon,” he said in a statement.

Former WWE Star checks into rehab

WWE spokesman Kevin Hennessy issued a statement saying they will continue to offer Sytch rehabilitation assistance. “Unfortunately, Ms. Sytch continues to make poor personal choices. WWE will continue to provide assistance should she want to take advantage of it”.
