Rutgers Football To Be Featured In TV Documentary

Added by Gregg Snyder on April 11, 2012.

Rutgers Athletics and Mind Over Media have been working together all spring to film a documentary which will air in May. The exact date will be announced at a later time.

The documentary, which will air on SNY, MASN, Comcast Network, and Sun Sports, will feature Rutgers football and give an inside look at spring practice. It will be an unnarrated 60 minutes titled “RFootball: 15 Days of Spring.”

Mind Over Media is the same production company that produces the R Football Show. They have been filming practices from the field this spring.

The documentary will follow first year head coach Kyle Flood every day during spring practices, from his morning arrival on campus  through meetings, team meals, and practices. Viewers will also get to hear some on-field sounds as a few players have been wearing microphones during practices.

“We were excited to have the ability to show our fan base and potential recruits our program as we work together for a successful 2012 season,” Flood said.

This is bound to be an exciting and interesting documentary for Rutgers fans as well as recruits and the current players and staff. It’s not often fans get to see an inside look at spring practices. Mind Over Media says the idea for this documentary is “literally putting the viewer next to the players and coaches as a colleague.”
