Giants & Jets Trash Talking Quotes As Important Game Nears

With less then 24 hours remaining until the battle for area bragging rights begins between the Jets and Giants, Double G sports has compiled a list of some of the best lines of trash talk exchanged between the two teams during the week. Let the game begin!

 

Victor Cruz on Darrelle Revis: “Teams aren’t really scared of him anymore. He’s had to earn his money this year.”

Revis on Victor Cruz’s comments: “Whatever he says, it’s in one ear, out the other. The only thing I remember about this guy is preseason”

Jets defensive coordinator Mike Pettine responding to Victor Cruz’s claim teams aren’t scared of Revis: “If that’s where they want to go with the football, I welcome them”

Jets Safety Brodney Pool on the comments made by Cruz: “You can tell him to get out the slot and get out to the island and see if he doesn’t drown.”

Is Darelle Revis the best corner in the NFL? After a very long pause, Hakeem Nicks said “He’s a decent corner.”

Darrelle Revis’ impressions on Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks: “They’re receivers. That’s what they are.”

Giants receiver Mario Manningham thoughts on Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie: “He holds a lot” and “I see him get beat all the time.”

In response to Manningham’s comments, Cromartie said, “If I’m (Top 5) in the burn ratio, I guess I do get beat a lot. We’ll have to see on Saturday… that’s even if [Mario Manningham] touches the field. He let a guy named Victor Cruz come in and take his job.”

Cromartie on Giants receivers: “You got guys that are not even Pro Bowl material. Who really cares what they have to say”

Calvin Pace on Jets putting picture of a battered Eli Manning on their playbooks this week: “It was cool to see it again”

In regards to the trash talking going on between the two teams, Jets special teams coach Mike Westhoff says: “I pretty much don’t like anybody.”
