Rex needs to fix the issues first before he talks up a battle.

Motivation has to be a been question mark when you talk about a Rex Ryan coached team, (I am beginning to ask these kinds of questions). I mean lets face it Jet fans. Other then the playoff, this team can never get up for a must win game, a game for the division leads,  game like last week against the Eagles, that if they could only win, they would be in a great position to get in the playoffs.
Weather it be a must win game against the hated Ravens to open the season, or New England; with the division lead at stake, the Eagles in a critical game with playoff implications, or if its having to win the last 2 games of the year to get in the playoffs like this week starting against the Giants, then the Dolphins in Miami next weekend.
My point here is, IT does not look good for this team based on what we have come to see from this Rex Ryan team over the last few years in these situations, (and have been even worst this year), when faced with a big challenge like this team faces, which started last weekend against the Eagles in a must win situation.
I can almost see the out come of this game based on the why this team plays, this team is so undisciplined, which i don’t here very much about in the media. This team is always a serious penalty waiting to happen at the wrong time. false starts, holding, pass interference, hands to the face, intentional grounding, interceptions in bad areas, pick 6′s, and even unsportsmanlike calls. We have seen it all in just about every game in past years, and has been even worst this year.
I point this out to say, if the Jets lose against the Giants, it will be because of how many bad situations they put themselves in during the game that will sway the outcome. Case in point:
Last week, going into that game. I wrote about how the Jets just don’t match-up against teams like the eagles that are full of speed. I pointed out that the way the Jets would win the game is if they could use that speed against the Eagles and run the ball against that smallish front 7 of the eagles, partially the DE.
The Jets did come out and use that formula early, running the ball right at the DT’s of the eagles. What happen! Dropped balls, interceptions, penalties got this team in trouble, and before they new it, the game plan was out the door, and now the Eagles could use that speed because they new the Jets had to pass to try and get back in the game, that was when the speed, and athleticism of the Eagles front 7, took over the game.
This is what we could see against the Giants this weekend. If the Jets cant stop JPP of the edge, and hold the Giants front from getting that great push up the middle with their DT’s, couple that with the mistakes from the Jets (that is almost guaranteed to happen), it could be a long ay for the Jets.

And Rex, word of advise, talk smack when you have all the horses in place. Don’t go in a battle each and every week, each and every year, talking a good game without a ‘full deck’. Belichick can talk, he has Brady. That defense is not all that good, has has not been good for 3 years now, but again HE HAS BRADY! On another note, Get my point?

Ugly game vs. the Giants. Both teams showed just how weak they are, but one of the Jets Achilles’ heels is got to be Rex Ryan’s big mouth writing checks that his team cannot cash on the field.

Now, I’m a Giants fan that roots for both teams when they are not playing for each other, so Ryan’s antics didn’t really get to me that much. That is until Ryan’s trash talking against the Giants for about a week. Now, I like Rex. I find the guy to be entertaining and funny as hell. But there comes a point when all of the bluster and bravado gets tiring. Muhammad Ali was the biggest trash talker in history, but at least when he told his opponent that he was going to kick their ass, Muhammad delivered.

Oh, and Sanchez needs to win a big game just so that he can get over that hump. The question is, how much time are people willing to give him to do it.
