Ten Hot, Unique Sports Related Halloween Costumes

With snow in the forecast this coming weekend for the Metropolitan area, it feels as though we are rapidly approaching the Christmas holiday, but instead, Halloween sits just three days away. As a website created for you, the average Joe, Double G Sports has a good grasp on the elements the average sports fan clings to…girls, beer, movies, amongst other things. With that in mind, we at Double G thought it would be a fun idea to seek out and bring to you, with the help of bustedcoverage.com, ten of the hottest and most unique sports related Halloween costumes that we could find…..

1 – Headless Ted….One of the better costumes I’ve seen over the years, period, sports related or not. Not only is it bloody and fitting to the Halloween theme, it is very funny in terms of poking fun at the much criticized battle of keeping him frozen while his ultimate resting place is argued over.

2 – Sexy Rexy- Rex Ryan hit the New York sports scene a few short years ago and he has unquestionably become the face of the Jets franchise. You see people more and more dress up as Rex every week, making this one of the easiest yet best costumes for 2011

3 – Effin’ Kenny Powers- One of the most legendary sports television characters of all-time, Kenny Powers is definitely a popular choice for Halloween this year.

4 – Don King - No explanation required

5 – San Fran freak show- Another widely popular figure in his respective sports market, Fear The Beard mania is running wild down by the bay in San Francisco. Brian Wilson and Tim Lincecum, known both for their long hair and beard, are sure to be one of the more popular west coast Halloween selections.

6 – Michael Vick lets the dogs out- We’ve seen similar costumes to this over the past few years, yes it is getting old, but all you need is a stuffed dog and an Atlanta Falcons Vick jersey to make it work, a classic never dies, and this is one that will be used year after year.

7 – RIP Al Davis

8 – Being a ref never looked so good- Just because we needed something sexy, or else this wouldn’t be a Double G

10 – Macho Macho Man- With his death coming this past spring, I expect a huge turnout of Macho Man Randy Savage Halloween costumes this year, this is my sleeper pick for costume that you will see most frequently.
