Agro Farma is New York’s largest dairy manufacturer. This is the company that manufactures Chobani, America’s #1 yogurt brand. They also produce Chobani Champions, the first Greek yogurt for kids.
Agro Farma has provided New Berlin, New York and the Unadilla Valley Youth Baseball and Softball Association with a brand new field. The association contacted Agro Farma requesting help with the field. The company took it a step further and completely renovated the field which now includes new dugouts, field lights, a practice field, as well as a two-story concession stand and press box.
This was the first stop with the new Chobani Champions Tour Bus which will be touring the country later this year. Agro Farma was more than happy to give the local children a new place to play.
“This community has been such a great neighbor to Agro Farma. Our success wouldn’t be possible without them,” said Hamdi Ulukaya, CEO and Founder of Agro Farma. “That’s why we were happy to give something back to our kids, who embody the heart and soul of what it means to be a champion and deserve only the best.”

A ribbon cutting ceremony took place on June 22nd to officially open the field. The celebration also included a fireworks display as well as performances by local artists.
Former Major League Baseball Player, Tommy John, was in attendance to speak with the children and celebrate along with them. Village of New Berlin Mayor, Terry Potter, was also at the ceremony and was very thankful for all the work done by Agro Farma on a field that needed it.
“Between the weeds and rocky gravel, our little league field was in rough shape,” said Potter. “Thanks to Agro Farma, over 100 players and their families have a new space to call home where they can spend time together.”
The new field is named Chobani Champions Field.
