The Big East blew through pre-season tournament schedule, and did very well in the non-conference part of their schedule. My guess is there was a tremendous amount of pressure on the Big East to make deeps runs while teams while Butler, FSU, Virginia Commonwealth, Morehead St. could play with nothing to lose. In close games the teams that press the most the usually lose.
